BookPeople has released the shortlists for its Book of the Year award.

Here are the shortlists for each category:

The shortlists were determined by bookseller votes on the prize longlists. The winners will be announced during the BookPeople conference's gala dinner and awards ceremony on June 16 at the Pullman Melbourne on the Park.
